New features added to award-winning
project management software
We are delighted to introduce Alisar Charting Version 1.1, released on May 23, 2002. The planned upgrade to our original version 1.0, released at Lotusphere in January 2002, has new and exciting features and a few bug fixes as well.
Some of our new features are:Color Coded Dates: Chart Due Dates that occur 3 days prior to the current date display in purple, giving our users a heads-up that chart are almost due. Over due dates now display in red making them easy for users to identify.
Charts by Owner View: The same color coding that is used for Due Dates in Charts appears in the Charts by Owner view. This view is better ordered to display the Action Step, Parent Chart and the level of charts, allowing users to better manage their Actions.
New 'Charts Completed' View: A second option in the Charts completed view allows our users a variety of ways to look at the actions and charts that have been completed. The original view sorted only by owner. Now you can sort by subject as well.
URL Link on the Chart Page: Users can add an URL hyperlink for each chart to reference other websites, or web posted information. This allows users another convenient way to attach pertinent information to their chart. Version 1.0 introduced an attach function for attaching documents to share with project teams.
Due Date History: When a Due Date is changed by a User, the revision is now noted below Current Reality. This feature gives you a better handle on the performance of the project or accomplishment of the goal.
Move To: Similar to the Copy to function introduced in Version 1.0, "Move To" allows a user with author access the ability to cut and paste charts to a new location.
New Print Feature: "Print Charts from this Chart Down", allows users to select a chart and all the subordinate charts to print.
Instant Log Off: You can log off from your Alisar Charting application by clicking on a link at the top of the main page. This allows you to keep your browser session running, and maintain security of your passwords.
Some of the interesting Bug Fixes/ Upgrades:
E-mail Notifications: when working on-line users can e-mail charts or sections of chart to others.
Completed Charts Descendents Marked Completed: If a charts is marked as completed, all descendent charts will be marked as completed too.
Search: The full-text indexed of your charting for easier and more comprehensive search of charts

Print Word Doc Fixed: Now it is easy to print to word. This is a great way to put a chart on your company's letterhead.
Delete Function Expanded: Now you can delete Action Steps from within a chart.
Descendant Charts inherit the new Master Chart's End Result in the top left corner of the chart when Copied or Moved: This feature helps users know what master chart the action step serves, allow actions in the organization to be aligned.
Off-line Synchronization Improved: There are more consistent connections for synchronization increasing reliability.
